RODNEY L. STEWART, RScP 5 GIFTS FACILITATOR
Rod Stewart was born and reared in Albuquerque, New Mexico and received his BA in English through the NROTC Program from the University of New Mexico.
He was ordained as a Baptist Minister in 1949 and served as Pastor, Bosque Farms Baptist Church for two years. He was commissioned as Ensign, US Navy in 1951 and served for 30 years with assignments to eight ships, NATO staffs in Norway and Belgium, 4½ years in Japan, and three tours in Washington, DC , retiring as Captain..
After retirement in 1981, Rod became a professional speaker, seminar leader and human resources consultant for private industry, principally construction. This has lead to his preparation and facilitation of programs on “Relationship Building” for Science of Mind Gatherings as well as the private sector.
Rod’s spiritual journey took him from the Baptist Church to the Methodist Church in 1965 and to the joy of Religious Science in 1999 with the First Church of Religious Science in Albuquerque.
He and his wife, Raythea Gale Stewart, steadily pursued Science of Mind studies leading to their licensing as Professional Practitioners in 2003. Gale has continued ministerial studies at Holmes Institute and expects to graduate in June, 2006.
Rod has written and taught a course in comparative religion called “Bridge over Troubled Waters”, followed by a weekly “Spiritual Growth Study Group” on “How to Know God” . He is now teaching “Ignite Your Life with Bible Wisdom” at FCRS.
In support of Gale’s internship with a Teaching Chapter in Belen, NM, Rod has co-taught “Spiritual Economics”, “Roots” and “Ask and it is Given”.
Rod has served as Volunteer Coordinator for UCRS Gatherings in Albuquerque, Chicago, San Diego and Vancouver, BC.
