THANK YOU – SO MUCH MORE THAN BEING POLITE!
Recently, a student in my 5 GIFTS for an Abundant Life Prosperity Course had the opportunity to demonstrate the powerful multiplying factor of Gratitude. While sharing about what the class had learned so far, he told us of his frustration about how FEW dollars he had made the previous week. His focus was clearly on how little he had; where he was to find the money to pay the rent coming due, and how he was a victim of his current circumstances.
I challenged him to put the practice of Gratitude into play. I asked him to shift his attention from the apparent lack of money in his life to being thankful for the dollars he had received. Reluctant but determined he took his assignment to heart for the next seven days. The following week whole class cheered when their fellow student reported that he had received a sizable check in the mail as repayment on a loan to a friend that he had long ago written off!
One of the greatest gifts of being grateful is in activating the multiplication factor of Gratitude. This story illustrates the power that is unleashed when we use “Thank You” to put our attention on what is working rather than what’s missing or not working. There is a law in the Universe we can use every day through being grateful that says: “What you put your attention on grows!”... |
